Any rifle, .243 caliber or larger works well on hogs. Just watch out for the large boars that have thick shields. A head shot is always best. Bows are welcome. We have stands set up for bow hunters to get you within a 20-30 yards shot. Just have good broadheads. Cross bows are also welcome for hog hunting. Shotguns work well also, but slugs only. NO Buckshot! Pistols can be used also, 44 caliber and up.

What clothing will I need for your South Carolina hog huntexcursions?
It depends on the time of year. January - March temperature averages 25-35 degrees at night and 40 - 60 degrees during the day. Just wear clothing like you would wear for deer hunting and dress according to the time of year. Camo clothes always works well for wild boar hunting

Boots - waterproof (you may need to walk through water)

You will need:
A good flashlight, hunter safety orange hat required, a good skinning knife and coolers to pack your meat to carry home from your boar hunts.

Mosquito Repellant - thermacell highly recommended.
